I really appreciate your first sentence here. Thank you, hedgewitch. And, yes, it is amazing that common themes run throughout the universe.

Very deft little piece. I really enjoyed it--and never would have guessed it was about the dog, but your comment about situations mirroring each other and all relationship quandries springing from common roots makes a lot of sense.

Fireblossom...
This is a riot of a story. I actually wrote this after heavy rains enabled my dog to dig under the fence. (He came back.) Of course, after beginning the writing process, I realized it represented the common aging and relationship paradigm. The universe is made up of common themes that represent oddly diverse issues.

Thank you for visiting The Friday Forgotten and linking your post. Your imagination and creativity should never lie dusty in a dark corner of your blog. We are happy to help clear away the cobwebs.

Oh a dangerous question indeed and one that is all too often answered with something we don’t like hearing. Speaking of erosion isn’t it sad that some people can be so shallow? I enjoyed reading your poem.

I love poems which contain questions. I also love short poems whose meaning and emotional impact are larger than the sum of their lines. I really enjoyed this, and was left wondering if this time ends differently from most, perhaps?
