The exterior seems the same.
On close inspection, not at all.
From deep within, a new visage surfaces and glows.
Metamorphosis.
Old descriptors no longer apply; something new is afoot.
Is it beauty, truly inner
Wisdom…Sagacity?
Is it acceptance
Understanding
Rebellion
Acquiescence
Or simply age
Can it really be that simple?
Age?
Can it really be this good?
I did it.
Made my case.
Spoke my truth.
Stood my ground.
Conquered my tears
And my fears
Shame, denial and disappointment.
Finally said what needed to be said
What yearned to be heard.
Deeply embedded in love.
Creating balance at last.
It was not easy.
But I did it.
I set Truth free.
I will heal.
It will be.
