Things I learned in my first 50 years…

… Only I define myself.

… We don’t always get what we want or think we deserve… It doesn’t kill us.

… The worst of times lead to the best of times.

… Eventually we experience it all.

… I AM totally worth it all.

… I AM capable of accepting it all.

… I AM free to give it all.

… We know we’ve grown when we release judgment and embrace it all.

… When we embrace we experience Grace.

… Grace is a wonderful thing.

… Love and adoration cure a lot of ills.

… Overlook the irritating. Focus on the elevating.

… Look for the good and praise it.

… It is ALL about relationships.

… Give. Give more. Give again. Give all you’ve got. Totally worth it.

… Oh! The exception? NEVER Give Up!

Please tell me what you’ve learned!

So Very, Very true Kim! I love being 52, I look back at all I have learned, and know that I am actually a wonderful accumulation of it all. I would not go backwards in time, because I have earned where I am in life.
I don’t know that I have ever thought about what I “deserve”? I know that I work hard for what is in my life. Weather it is a relationship, a belonging, or the love around me. Sometimes I know that I have actually given much more than is deserved…but, I keep on giving. Not, the door mat type of giving, but the love and or physical help that is needed, wanted, or just must be.

Keep writing girl! It must be very clarifying to do so. When we look reality square in the face, it helps us understand and continue to grow. Love you.

I love the collages, and the first two items on your written list especially resonate with me.

You’re right, it is all about the relationships. : )
