Sorrow by Dechobek at deviantART
Her head
bowed
toldĀ more than words
could tell.
Her mother’s heart,
dragged down
the road
to hell.
More than once.
In reality
she feels relief.
Thus her shame
holds hands
o’er face of grief.
And she weeps.

This tears at the heart-strings! We were thinking along the same lines…
Indeed we were, Janet.
“And she weeps” Plain and simple. I like that!
In just a few words, you totally conveyed the emotion of this photograph. Plainly powerful and revealing, as only you can do it!
You are generous with me, RJ. Thank you.
Hello Kim.
The ending just about says it all.
Nice take on the prompt.
Thanks for sharing.
