Kinda Old School
I gave you the key
to my heart-future-life
wrapped in pop-packed
Lo/Ovral
Only we two
thought-know-knew
the commitment, pact
of that moment
Seems to have worked out pretty well
*Thanks for the prompt, Ella, at Poets United. I read it and then headed out to run my Thursday errands. While at a stoplight, these lines’ genesis demanded my attention. Fortunately I remembered the gist when I got back home. I love how that works!

Mine seems like a reply, absolutely! It’s always great at the beginning, isn’t it? It’s great when it works out. I like the way you laid it out real tight and in a few lines too. Well penned!
This brought a knowing smile to my face. I think BCPs deserve more poetry written about them!
So do I!!!
I liked your unique approach to the prompt, Kim!
LOL Very nice!
Kim,
Well indeed an original idea, but a loving key ingredient:)

This was a fun twist/take on the prompt.
I do that, De… I twist and take…
Love your inspiration…hope it stays that way ~

It will… has endured decades. Will continue in suit.
I too love the original idea! I also love how at random the ideas just flow~
Amazing insightful and maybe it should be its own prompt ;D
Powerful pink pills!
YES! Powerful Pink Pills, indeed! Yay!
Ha Ha…wicked poem! And they were a god send and deserve to have the adulation of verse:)
I’m pretty sure that’s never been addressed in poetry before! Good one, Kim!
I like this, found it amusing – hope that is ok by you! – and read it again. Liked it more. Still brought a smile to my face.
I am glad it amused you, David. Did me, too!
Delightful verse!
