Beautiful…. and without a trace of knowing it too was also being hunted… thankfully only with a camera :)
Oh, a perfect capture and delight, Kim!
Oh, Kim!!! I love the collaboration with the Paul Simon quote…truth…goosebumps!!
How amazing that you should get to see this creature in its element…and kind of cool I think, that being totally in your “element,” bathing…just neat seeing as how creations creatures have no clothing so to speak…
Any way, Kim….I really love your offering for Real Toads Transforming Friday….thank you so much for writing!! :)
I thought this was an awesome piece! And I love the photo! :D
Gorgeous!
What a SPECTACULAR photo – how wonderful to look up and see this beautiful creature walking by. Absolutely glorious. I love the Paul Simon quote!
I like the sauntering with confidence…as it should be ~
Kim, I can picture/ understand this.
What a sight to see while bathing!!
How extraordinarily lucky you were to get this shot, Kim. And now, you have immortalized the moment in words. I feel so gratified to have seen both.
Oh wow! Your words are compact and elegant, much like their subject. How exciting to get a glimpse of a wild cat. And I really like the quotes you start with. Each of the elements of this make a very satisfying whole.
We have bobcat sightings in my high desert city too … frightening, but so wondrous to actually spy one. It’s why we don’t let our kitty cats and doggies run loose!!
Yes, how lovely they are :)
How brief the encounter–brief enough to avoid fear and celebrate belonging. Very nice read.
Love that photo, and that it was that close to home is wonderful! Great write, love your response to the quote!
