Regarding The Road Less Traveled

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~ Robert Frost, 1920

Crazy?
A soapbox
Others find unorthodox.
Staking a claim
That goes against the grain.
Risking. Failing. Enduring. Pain.
Doing it all again.
Crazy.

to some, so alluring
to others “Oh No!”
the easy row

rough roads
though
lead to refined soul
always been crazy
go!

*Inspired by Marian at Imaginary Gardens, Waylon Jennings, Robert Frost… and oh! Patsy Cline. Can’t forget Patsy. Crazy.

  1. Your approach is very much like mine…great minds and such!! ;)

I just love that this craziness that you speak of that it results in a refined soul. Beautiful writing, Kim!!

  2. O Wonderful. The first entire stanza tripped off my lips as if in a banjo piece–and then the break–and I like the idea of rows as in “an easy row to hoe”–I think the ending is true (the part after the pause), but for me the most fun is in stanza one.

  3. Not being one to take the comfy well trodden path i am smiling in agreement..although at times perhaps we need to dip a toe back into familiar..and safe..jae x
