Here they are ~
The last in this round of Small Stones
Daily snippets of observation
Ordinary moments of grace
January 26, 2012

He limped past
through the desert
front right leg stiff, straight
gash, just above shoulder.
A clash with fellow Canis latrans?
Or did human beast intervene?

January 27, 2012

cleaning
prepares the space
for sacrament
for grace

University town
The Arts abound
Wildlife surrounds
Tucson

January 29, 2012

Loved since 18
Today
Fifty four
Still incites
This heart to roar
How lucky

January 30,2012

I feel you.
Here. Now.
Even though
Your today began
Eighteen hours ago

January 31, 2012

It’s clear
We’ve met before
As logic
Defies
This connection
Otherwise

January 17, 2012

six weeks history
no more blood or progeny
beginning? or end?

January 18, 2012

clearance delivered
post weeks of inhibition
free movement beckons

January 19, 2012

delivers daily
vital, trivial, wanted
departs, cloud in wake

January 20, 2012

loving though distant
challenges traditions, roles
builds strengths, foreign, new

January 21, 2012

water, over time
gentle, cool, power sublime
to softly smooth flaws

January 22, 2012

ordinary acts
bedrock, infrastructure, frame
love’s longevity

January 23, 2012

creeping up through soles
winter ices sinews, bones
shoulder turns, rejects

January 24, 2012

boy who’s lived three years
locks in with eyes, limpid, dark
ventana to God

January 25, 2012

hour with mat, OM, breath
balance, resilience, strength
return with passion

Swallow it down
turn him ON
Bright!

Cast out the shadows
the dark, dank
Blight

Flip it
Switch it
Illuminate the night

I AM incandescent
Join my brilliance
Join my fight

Let’s consume the darkness
Absolve others
Eat, breathe light

Cast out demons, open hearts,
bask in warmth
For all the right

Reasons

Until     darkness
Comes     again
Hungry

Caught in the smoke
ring eddy of blues
and lust

Neon shines
through dust
in the lonely hours

Proof, high, twice
too many whiskey sours
nightmares, dreams

Secrets, illusions
Life’s as it seems
when filled-crack edifice falls

Wasted stories
within these walls
milky dew lost to the night

So much left
despite the blight
and drought of true connection

I consume the hearts I win
You collect them
break them
sin

I feed hunger, needs within
You’re just trifling
squelching
din

Neither one of us pretends,
Feigns regret,
lets love
come in

Perhaps we make up yang and yin
Both content
with veil
so thin

of humanity
