I like your painting very much, Kim; and enjoyed the poem with all of the ‘ensity’ sounds; well penned.

Kim, this is great. The poem has such a captivating rhythm to it. I have read it a couple of times now, and each reading bears the same honest contemplation but brings with it something new. I love how you put that last stanza into words.

Consecration of one sort or another seems necessary, but even that can get heavy and blue depending on the chemistry! And so, of course, I enjoyed this immensely!

Hmmm..Yes, without you less trouble, but less happiness too. You made good use of the 14 line restriction. I like the free verse approach for this subject.

Loved your word choice and the flow of this piece. Somehow it reminded me of that U2 song “With or Without You”. Really nice write Kim.

  6. Hannah Gosselin says:

Oh, yes. Hmm…I love the sound play that you carry through this piece and still it doesn’t begin to wane in the meaning behind it all. There’s definitely much to weigh in our minds when we delve into the realm of adding and subtracting people, things, thoughts, beliefs…what life is like with and without certain elements.

I love your poem and image, Kim!

As always I leave here thinking. :) Thank you for your recent visits, I appreciate them.
