One
Starts there
We all do
Even twins deny something the other
One
love
direction
life
day at a time
step ahead
foot
in front of the other
Thus we enter
So, we leave
One
Solitary life
Striving

Chameleon, I mastered early
Authenticity? Years to attain
Lacking a soul nurtured fondly
Self love came
First
Once fiercely and tenderly caring for me
Became the norm
I could see
The way
Loving unconditionally
From fear
Finally free

Her grace settles the scene
Head held high, shoulders back, legs long
Lacking pretense, guile; doesn’t preen
The real deal, this one, confident, bright
Knows her mind, body; both strong and lean
Centered and balanced, a powerful force
A goddess, a woman, serene
