Wicked Good Woman

Wicked good woman.

She’s arresting, compelling, provocative, ideal.

Embodies grace and balance, unbridled appeal.

On the dance floor.

In the gym.

The yoga mat, the Persian rug, with him.

Rhythmic, kinetic, metaphysic, real.

Intentioned to love, nurture, bless, to heal.

Wicked good, No?

Do you know her?

Inspired by  Three Word Wednesday... Arresting, Rythmic, Wicked.

Steady

Steady.

I Am.

Experienced. Weathered. Aged.

Eroded. Refined.

Call it what you will.

I AM steady.

The rains come.

The sun beats down.

The breezes blow.

They, too, are steady.

Constant. Predictable.

Sometimes fierce.

They rush, pierce, gust.

I stand.

Proud. Confident. Capable. Strong.

I flex.

I bend.

I do not break.

I’ve grown past that frailty.

Matured.

Roots firmly planted, growing inward, upward.

Steady, I take what I need. Give back in return.

Balanced.

Solid at my core.

Steady.

I AM.

Constant

You are.

Even

When I am not.

On this I count

To carry me

When I am not.

Truth

I did it.

Made my case.

Spoke my truth.

Stood my ground.

Conquered my tears

And my fears

Shame, denial and disappointment.

Finally said what needed to be said

What yearned to be heard.

Deeply embedded in love.

Creating balance at last.

It was not easy.

But I did it.

I set Truth free.

I will heal.

It will be.

Balance

Balance.

Not as easy as it seems.

90% of brain function

is dedicated

to maintaining balance

in the human organism.

Just ask a chiropractor.

Equilibrium. Equipoise. Counterpoise.

Stability.

Literal balance.

Emotional balance.

Balance

between

…holding tight and letting go

…grace and effort

…give and take

…live and let live.

In the moment.

Balance.

Imbalance.

Imbalanced…off kilter…a little off…out of her mind…

Let’s not.
