And now

I stand my ground

I’ll not be abused

Refuse to be used

When cheated, short-fused

Way past the blues

Thus I implore you … Do not be confused

This line

In this sand

This time

~ Is final ~

“Earth’s crammed with heaven and every common bush, afire with God.”
~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning

~Ω~

Who dares question power found within the natural world?

The flash of light through monsoon skies, cacophony unfurled

The rapid pace of a whitetail race just ahead of the mountain lion

The movement of the earth ‘round sun or the stars in the belt of Orion

~

Who dares doubt that unknown forces unite to create?

A world of wonder, beauty and a world with anger, hate

A realm in which we each have choice to rise and learn, or fail

A universe wherein each One, given time, doth prevail

~

Who dares disbelieve that every being is divine?

That paths, processes chosen, will finally align

With ultimate perfection, achievement spawned by grace

When all will truly understand the meaning of this race

We call human.

during the years

i spent

in 4-inch heels

fabulous legs on display

I gave

neither

my fifties

nor

my feet

a thought.

Now

they demand attention.

. serious .

. attention .

Each is integral

In the great scheme of things.

And yet,

Simply unimportant.

Vital

To the workings of the world,

While utterly

Insignificant.

Each lily of the field

Is beautifully clad,

Not one is unknown or forgotten.

But pluck it from that verdant plot

And the field looks no more spartan.

The surrounding beauty

Subsumes the space

Another not needing to take its place

The great scheme of things just continues on,

Despite the fact that a party is gone.

Because each is integral

In the great scheme of things.

And yet,

Simply unimportant.

CALMED,

I move forward

In this WONDROUS life with YOU.

While others opt for outlets

I build STRENGTH in what is true.

Despite the chaos we endure,

I’ve built my CENTER,

AXIS,

CORE.

With this, I’ll keep my BALANCE,

Even if you might lose yours.

~

Thanks to GRACE…

I’ll not topple easily,

but glory in gained FLEXIBILITY.

Both figuratively

And Literally.
