checking
again
wanting
what won't be
no text
no call
discarded, me

in the moment
breathe long, full and deep
exhale and let go
take on life, take the leap

in the moment
venture forth and excel
give each task your all
doubts and rumors dispel

in the moment
take it in, give it back
embrace gifts and talents
avoid focus on lack

in the moment
then into the earth
ashes to ashes
followed by a new birth

and then
a new moment

Do not kid yourself

I AM eternal

walking hallowed halls
of flesh and blood
or frothing along waves
in sea foam flood
I AM eternal

moving
unencumbered by true form
loving strongly
yet sometimes, forlorn
I AM eternal

making my way back
to ancestry
moving onward, forth,
toward pedigree
I AM eternal

Me

like you, the tree, the bee, the sea
growing, learning, perpetually.
Eternal

You seek the sun
Despite hail, rain and thunderstorms
You seek the sun
Flex, arch, open, til day is done
You fight pests, vermin, turning worms
Disregard all threats, anger, harms
You seek the sun

Walk through bold, blue door
Embrace brown-skinned man
Smell the heady pink perfume
Kiss the toddler hand
Listen to cardinal song
Mumford, Good Husband
Linger over love-made meals
Zinfandel, deep, grand
Speak of love, acceptance
Adore whene’er you can
Observe life closely, all of it
Spontaneous and planned
Every moment, a lesson
Embrace the muse. Expand.
