Formed
of
 dissonance,
their lofty,
soft appearance
does deceive

For in the eyewall
past the core,
winds ~
fierce velocity
achieve

On occasion,
The well-grounded
get a sense
of the discord

But another’s forecast
cannot calm
storm brewing
untoward

downward spirals drive adjustment
forcing self to tighter space
view compresses, introverts
remarkably slowing pace
for clearer vision

Look into the river’s eye
It does not lie
See reflection, truth supplied
Can’t be denied
Accept it
Or decree your battle cry
You are responsible.
Don’t like what you see?
Change it.

How is it that I thought I could

Outdo God, the creator?

Who fathered Jesus, yes, it’s true

But Satan, too, the traitor

What gave me the idea

I could raise a family

Foster pure perfection

Overcome man’s destiny?

I AM but a child of God

Divine-in-Training, really

To think I could avoid the pain

The failure, loss, was silly

Keep it in perspective

Realize the goal

Each of us returns to God

Each a valued soul

Despite it all…

the sermon, the emotions

the story known to all

of newborn babe in manger

with livestock in a stall

the love this scene could conjure

good will and peace on earth

is all completely possible

if we embrace its worth

the agonies that men inflict

the suffering endured

would fall into perspective

would no longer be inured

And the light would shine…

Ecstasy.
